MMH Construction Plans
While working with consulting groups to design the new facility, patient
comfort was first and foremost on our minds. The first priority was
to make the building efficient and user friendly, allowing easy access to
all aspects of patient care. Having all services offered in one building
is going to be a great plus for everyone.
Other notable changes include: Many departments were outgrowing their space
and the old building was not as conductive of technology changes.
The new facility will allow for some very important changes to be made.
- The admitting office is set up to register more than one patient at
a time in a more private setting.
- Space increases to all departments allowing for more streamlined services.
i.e.: Ultrasound, X-ray, CT, Mammography all contained to one central
area; OR and recovery contained to one area; Rehab services located within
the facility.
- Private ER treatment rooms.
- Patient rooms are all facing the bay, continuing to offer the majestic
view they love when staying with us.
- Conference centers were designed to accommodate the needs of the support
groups, administrative meetings, community education needs, and telemedicine
visits and the Auxiliary.
