Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy helps adults and children participate in daily activities as independently as possible. Do you or someone you know have trouble with any of the following daily activities?: eating, personal hygiene, dressing, homemaking, consumer skills, job duties, school tasks, leisure or play activities.

Are these activities troublesome to you because of: muscle weakness, abnormal muscle tone, balance problems, join or muscle pain, limited joint motion, clumsiness or in-coordination, memory problems, visual problems, decreased energy?

Occupational Therapy may be able to help you through evaluating your needs and providing you what you need to be able to do those daily activities again, such as teaching you an exercise program, showing you new ways to do things, and/or providing equipment to make it easier. Please call (906) 387-4110 x. 135 for more information on OT programming.

In addition Occupational Therapy runs an Arthritis Aquatic Program. This is a head to toe exercise program in warm water to stretch and strengthen. Classes run September - May or June continuously in 6 week sessions. $40.00 for 6 weeks, 2 days weekly for 1 hour at the Comfort Inn in Wetmore, MI. Call the Clinic at 387-4110 x 135 for current schedule.
